PSSSSST......

so here we are in amsterdam. word on the street is amsterdam is famous for its delicious and potent coffee so alex and i decided it would be fun to cruise the canals of amsterdam sampling the various coffees at the various coffee shops around town. Let me first start out by saying, this place is run by crack heads. Everyone looks so cracked out at all hours of the day it is outrageous. not to mention the fact that every person who isnt a tourist there is a drug dealer trying to sell you something shady. I couldnt even keep a straight face walking down the alleys and canals of the red light distrcit without some north african guy whispering PSSSST charlie X in my ear and i would literally burst out laughing because it was the 6th time in 5 minutes that some sketchball tried to approach me. Our hostel was a piece. There was no common area and the place was dirty as hell. The only thing it had going for it was the fact that it literally was IN the red light district. but this came with its downsides, you couldnt sleep. there are people running around screaming till 7 in the morning. the hookers are hillarious. you walk down these narrow alleys lind with windows and it will be all dudes. you get some really wierd vibes in there too, mad sexual tension, and everyone acts like they didnt mean to be there or they took a wrong turn, but everyone knows they are just there to look at the hookers in the windows. umm there really isnt much to do there besides visit the various coffee shops and sample their coffee. the hieneken brewery tour was closed for renovation, the ann frank house had a line a mile long, and the canal tour sucked. but the coffee was really really really really really good. We spent most of the time just walking from coffee shop to coffeeshop just hangin out havin a coffee etc etc. Overall amsterdam was pretty fun, a bit overwhelming, but it was fun. on to london now. cheers!

p.s. talk to me in person and ask me about the real amsterdam :)
